http://tinyurl.com/6s84p - Up to three axes & sixteen buttons for less
than $20US. Sweet! (They also offer /True/ n-key rollover USB/PS2/ADB
keyboard interfaces for about the same price.)

The four-axis, 8-button model sounds like it would be about perfect for
trying to get a Wingman Warrior (the perfect joystick for Tron) working
under Windows XP!

Have fun, there are no drivers, that I know of for WW under anything past
Windows 98 or so....

Yes, um, which is why the device the OP mentioned might be interesting to
try to modify an existing WW joystick with, so that it might in fact work
under Windows XP. Which is basically what I said in the first place.

We'll be back with more of "Masters Of The Obvious" after this quick
break...

I posted a few months ago asking if there'd be any interest in producing
a joystick 'kit' similar to this one and wasn't met with a single response.

My design is HID compliant and doesn't require any drivers at all. I've
completed a prototype (based on more expensive h/w) which replaces the
Dreamcast Arcade Stick PCB and has undergone extensive playtesting! ;)

(I guess I really should put some piccies up on my web site...)

We're considering a small production run based on a cheaper device - but
that's a few months away so we would be interested to know what price
the market could bear... perhaps the existing prototype design would be
suitable???

Mark

I /might/ be interested if the price is right. I have a dead Gravis
Firebird (Mac interface) that I wouldn't mind converting over to USB by
switching PCB's.
