I was thinking of buying a cd-walkman with cdr-mp3 capability. Then I read this article about all the other formats and mp3-pro and all. Maybe old mp3 is going out of style, so what I wonder is if there will come such products for some of these other sound-formats, like Ogg Vorbis, aac, et al.
Ok, I understand that mp3 was first and for a brief time was something of a standard, but I suppose it will die, right?
So, is it possible to concieve someone designing and marketing a small walkman-style cdrw-player that you can "upgrade" with, like, a pcmcia to newer formats and so make it somwhat "future-safe"?
