Is there a site with a list of best games ever....... done from some sort of
poll.

I have got my Mame Cabinet up and running with all roms installed but I want
to trim the roms list down.

Here is a Top100 list compiled by the KLOV team. It's a fabulous
list, especially if you agree that arcade games essentially
died in the late 80s.

Ho-ho. Your list is invalid. It stops at "U" despite the fact that our
alphabet goes to "Z". ;-) Any list of top games without Vanguard is
incorrect.

Did you summarise the data? If you have the information, can you cut and
paste it. Save me searching thru'....

yes, sinner posted the results of the polls, however, its not that

I didnt, but Cerian did. search with his name as the author and you may
find a link to an excel spreadsheet he was maintaining whihc is probably
still out there.

Unfortunately I lost the machine I was keeping the data on (Laptop HD
went bad) and I learned a difficult backup lesson.

Generally, lists like this are somewhat subjective and also age-centric.
You'll probably get a lot of teenagers voting for the Streetfighter
series, whereas older players will harken back to their old classic
favourites (read: Pacman, Scramble, Defender, etc).

For a list of what some regs like, try Tombstones. People usually try
out some new game based upon recommendation.
