monitor sharing

There are gizmos on the market that allow one monitor to be shared between 2
systems. I've got space problems at the moment and this might be a
solution. Has anyone used this set up and had any problems?

KVM switch - very handy in that situation. Share Keyboard, Video, Mouse.
