Does'nt 3dmark aim to test just the graphics side of things????
Im looking to test the overall performance of the system.

Yeah, 3D mark is more CPU and graphics combined.

Sandra is not much use for comparing different systems.

it is great for testing the performance gains of an upgrade or BIOS tweaking.
