I need lots of power for music creation software. Currently I'm
running out of CPU. Oh yea, I need a gig of memory too. I'm looking
to spend no more than $800. I've heard the 64 bit chips run 32 bit
stuff very well, and i was looking at pre-configured models. But
Shuttle's site is overpriced, also I don't need an OS. Thanks for any
help / recommendations

That's doable. I'm building one right now, getting most of my stuff
from newegg.com.
Shuttle XPC SN85G4v2 $300
Athlon 64 2800 CPU $140
Gainward NVidea FX5200video card $60
2x512mb ram $180
That leaves you $120 for a HD and CD/DVD if you don't re-use existing
ones like I'm doing...
The Shuttle itself came in yesterday, the quality and attention to
detail is impressive.
Good luck!!
