I am installing a new WD 80 gig. Can I copy the old hard drive to the new
hard drive? I dont want to load WIN 98 and then use my XP upgrade. Is there
a way to run the upgrade without installing WIn 98 first?

thanks

Install the XP and then when it wants qualifying proof insert the 98 cd.

Enter your BIOS and boot from the CD. Fire up your machine and should prompt
you to insert your CD. Then put in XP.

Boot from the CD, the setting to force that is in the BIOS.

well doug, you can install Norton Ghost, and just click the button on the
Ghost to make similar copy to your new harddrive. I created 2 perfect copy
of my friends harddrives.

good luck,
michael
