Hi!

I have a old Mainboard Shuttle Spacewalker ME62/ME63/ME64 with chip
Intel and processor Intel Pentium III to 866Mhz. Recently buy 2
modules of SDRAM PC133 Trascendt to upgrade de memory of my computer
to 512MB (2 modules of 256MB), but after installing modules the
mainboard only show me 256MB in RAM, i change the modules of place,
treat putting one alone with the same result: with 2 modules show
256MB, with one alone show 128MB in any of the 2 slots. I change in
the Seput the speed of SDRAM from 100 to 133Hhz, but nothing, the same
result.

The cause of the problem is incompatibility or the mainboard does not
support this memory?

I expect you can help me.

Thanks a lot

You guessed it. The motherboard only recognizes single sided RAM
modules. Same thing happened to me, coincidentally on an old Shuttle
Spacewalker. I solved the problem by upgrading to a motherboard that
recognized the double sided ram.
