Epson CX3200 Not Scanning

Hope someone out there can help with this problem.
When I installed the software for the Epson Stylus CX3200 the printer works
fine
but the Scanner is not working,shows as installed in Scanners and
Cameras in Control panel,but in the Epson Stylus CX3200 Properties(General
Tab) Status is Unavailable also the Test Scanner or Camera Button is Greyed
out.

On the printer itself the copy buttons work as does the Printer its
self,but the Scan button does not work.
I have uninstalled/installed the Twain drivers several times but the
problem still persists.

OS is Windows 2000
