Has anyone been able to setup their LaserJet 1000 on Windows XP Pro 64-bit
edition? HP has not released a 64-bit version of the driver, and there don't
seem to be any generic drivers that are compatible with the printer. It's
the last bit of hardware I have left to be 100% functional running XP64, and
it's important enough for me to keep running my 32-bit copy of XP for
day-to-day tasks.

I've tried the 32-bit drivers (fail to install). The windows update catalog
has no listing for the printer. HP has released 64-bit drivers for the
1150 - 1300 line but it is not compatible w/ the 1000.

I've tried the HP support forms, but haven't had much luck since it seems as
though there is no HP officials working the forums. I do know I'm not the
only one having this difficulty.

Thanks in advance
