Currently I got this game installed on one of my machines using:

athlon xp 1600
1gb pc2100
Gefore ti4600

When trying to load up the game, it will crash with the "A Problem has occured blahblahblah" and to send a message to microshaft of the error report. The Machine does have the latest forceware drivers (61.77). Any Ideas?

My area had it released 9-14-2004. So damn typical for a sims release to do this, every one of them has given me post-install issues.

Do you have the latest version of DirectX (9.0c) installed?

I've had no crashes w/The Sims 2, on an Athlon 1.4Ghz w/512 meg RAM and a Radeon 9500.

Yeah I do. I already figured it out. It was a corrput CD. Found one of those no-cd exes and the game works fine. Probably will do exchange but this crack file will suit right now
