I am having a problem getting the Highpoint driver to recognize anything on
this channel. I enabled everything and just want to use JABD with an IDE
disk.
It scans, but Primary and Secondary stay blank. The manuals, short or long,
are no help.
Are there any tricks here other than avoiding ATAPI drives?

What operating system are you using? The Highpoint conntroller will only
support IDE hard drives. It will not support ATAPI devices.

If your not using the Highpoint for the boot drive, you should only have to
enable the controller in the BIOS and install the driver for the operating
system your using.

If your using it as the boot drive on a WinXP system you would need to
install the Highpoint XP drivers from a floppy drive durning WinXP setup.
Also you would need to set the first boot device in the BIOS to SCSI.
