Monitor freezes - K7V the problem?

Not sure if this is a PS problem (Antex Sonata) , Mobo problem (K7V Dragon
Plus), or video card problem (PNY GeForce 5700 Ultra). I 've had no problems
for about 9 months, then an intermittent problem started a few days ago.

When a window tries to redraw, like when I vertically scroll thu a window,
or when Word draws a page, or even when I just click on an item in Outlook
Express (or whatever), the window freezes (just this window). I then
activate another window (the mouse cursor still moves) and the video blinks
and it's all OK. Sometimes the blink is long enough that I'm actually
staring at a blank screen for a second or so. This can repeat again a fw
minutes later or hours later. It never happens when I'm playing a game for
hours (like Rise of Nations). I thought it was a software issue so I
re-installed WinXP but the problem is still there.

Has anyone had similar problems? It seems unrelated to heat (although the
Sonata is plenty cool) and unrelated to how long the computer has been on (5
minutes or 5 days). Any ideas on what to check?
