halflife2.net has info that the release candidate has been sent to vivendi. HL1 only took 48 hours to go gold from the time of the first RC release, so we should be looking at a very near future release of hl2!!! :)

I imagine I'll be driving from store to store to try and find a copy when its released. Just like Doom.

I must need a life,

Yup, You do.

But it could be worse. You could have said, "I guess Mom will have to drive me from store to store looking for a copy."

LOL! Maybe I should just get off my lazy @$$ and go preorder one? I was sort of disappointed in Doom3, but don't think Half Life2 will let me down, so I am much more exicited about that.

I've already got most of HL2 on my computer... Get steam, install, and do all 3 stages of the halflife2 preload. Buy it over steam when it's released.
