Upgrade K7V Dragon Plus

Archived from groups: alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.soyo (More info?)

Currently have a K7V Dragon Plus with on old 1.4 Tbird. Recently upgraged
another system and now have the old video card as a spare (GeForce 5900). In
the Dragon is a Ti-4600 Video card. Putting the 5900 Video card in the
Dragon will probably be overkill, as it will most likely be CPU limited with
the old TBird CPU.

QUESTION: Would upgrading the CPU be worth it? If so, what's the fastest CPU
this thing will support?

TIA

On a stock D+ board max cpu would be a Palomino 2100+.
If the board is modded then a Barton or Mobile will work.
