sp2 install problems !!!

when i install sp2 from cd, when i restart it will freezz booting from
HDD
or when i instal win xp MCE same thing it wont boot from HDD
how do i fix this (the funny thing is i had sp2 instaled earlier but
then i formated my hdd )now this happens
i have a sy-p4i865pe plus dragon 2 128mb video card ge force fx 5200
512 ram 2.80cpu 120GB sata HDD :oops:
