Just wanted everyone to be aware that Act-Labs has opened up pre-orders for
both the VGA monitor and TV light guns.

PC USB Lightgun: 79.99
TV USB Lightgun: 99.99

Updated 04/01/05
We have received many e-mails asking us about the PC USB Light Gun and TV
Light Gun after we sold our last unit in 2004. ACT Labs is considering one
final manufacturing run for customers still wanting to purchase a unit. As
soon as we reach
250 units in pre-orders, we will ask our factory to proceed with
production. Because of the small quantity to be manufactured, we have lost
our volume discount and prices have increased.
ACT Labs thanks you for your support and we hope that we can reach the
minimum order quantity shortly. Watch this page for updates.

I pre-ordered and asked them if they were near the 250 mark. They said they
were very close and would have a production made up in June, next month.

I saw that Happs sells a light gun (well a couple different types)
What are the main differences between the Happs and the Act-Labs guns?

Sorry for highjacking the topic, but are the Happs ".45" pistols the same
ones found on Area 51 and the like? I always found those felt fake in the
arcades. Maybe it was the hard, coated gun cabling which IMHO interfered with
proper arm movement. Maybe it was the fake-feeling trigger, or the crummy
plastic in the weapon shell. Something, a certain je-ne-sais-quoi.

By comparison, at least the Virtua Cop guns felt decent, and of course the
Point Blank/Time Crisis guns with racking slides were best.
