BITLOCKER RECOVERY KEY

Hi could some one help me in unlocking my external hard drive from bit locker. I could remember opening bit locker and closing it back in windows 8 launch prevue. When i purchase the full version i unplug it before installation. When completed i plug it back in and now its asking me for a ( 48 digit serial key ). I cannot recall entering any key, make it worst so many. I am positive That i did not enter any key. ( HELP THANKS )

You should have created a Bitlocker recovery key text file or such when you encrypted the drive, if u did not keep this text file /key or write it down somewhere
there is no way to access the drive
