sound distortion

I am using a pc with 933mghz processor, when I am playing sound, from any
source such as cd or an email, if I drag the scroll bar down or up it
distorts the sound. What could be the problem.

Ken, do you have a Sound Card or a Motherboard integrated sound chip?
