More Information

Trying to get my Tyan system up and running but having some problems...

- Tyan Thunder K8W S2885 mainboard
- Two Opteron 262 processors
- Two pieces of 256meg registered ECC OCZ DDR 400 memory, each in the first
slot of the two memory banks
- Only card in the PC is a 256meg ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
- PSU is a Sparkle 550watt EPS supply

When I boot the machine, it sees 768meg of memory, not the 512meg that is
installed.

- I have three pieces in total (waiting for #4 to arrive), so I've been able
to swap all the sticks out and the result is the same.
- I've used the jumper to clear the CMOS settings to defaults.
- BIOS is the latest from Tyan, downloaded and flashed earlier today. (I
don't recall what was reported before the flash - next test is to go back
one revision in the BIOS)

....Any ideas as to what is happening?
