New To Overclocking

Some help please, I am new to overclocking.

I have an MSI K7N2 Delta mobo with an AMD ATHLON XP 2400+.

The jumper on the board allows for 100 and 133 MHz FSB. I set it to 133 and
also set this to 133 in BIOS.

I get 15 x 133 = 2GHz.

What if I want to raise it manually in the BIOS. If I set it to anything
higher than 133, I get a checksum error. If I set it to 166 I lose my
video. Do I need to change the voltage or something? How do I start out in
this wonderful world of OC?

Thanks.

As you can see, there's only 2 things that set the cpu speed, multiplier
and FSB, so you need to change one or both to change the cpu speed. You
won't be able to use a 166MHz FSB unless you lower the multiplier.
15x166=2500MHz (well maybe, if you raise vcore to the max, but not
likely). You should be able to set the FSB at any speed though since the
chipset locks the PCI/AGP buses. I don't know what you are doing wrong
though. Keep trying.

Set everything you can find in the "Advanced Chipset Features" page of your
BIOS to manual.
Increase the FSB by 1MHz.
Check that the system is stable
Repeat

Make sure you have RAM in the system that can cope (ie at least PC2700)
