today when i started up my machine, it displayed all the bios information
then went black. i checked all connections and everything was fine. I
suspected my harddrive, which is serial ata, was causing it. i really
coundnt test it on another pc in my house since im th only one with SATA
support. An older IDE harddrive worked fine.
I then removed the SATA HD from my case and held it on my hands. As a
turned the my pc on, the harddrive began to spin, but after 10 seconds, it
made a beeping noise and stopped.
Anyone no a solution...i cant send it back becasue i bought it OEM

Bad hard drive. Contact Western Digital if the OEM will not
accept the return (unless the HD has already exceeded WDC's
warranty time limit). To save the data, install a slave drive
and the next time the drive starts, keep it running as long
as possible and offload important data, files, etc.
