I just got a Canon i9900 to replace an aging Epson 1270 and I have a paper
misfeed problem.
Using Epson Heavyweight Matte and Epson Premium Glossy Photo (two papers
that are supposed to work well in the i9900), I am unable to get a full page
letter size print that does not bleed on the leading edge of the print, that
is, the image is shifted maybe 3/4" forward (up) on the paper. THis is also
the case when printing smaller pictures that are supposed to be centered on
the letter-size sheet--they are shifted toward the leading edge of the paper
1/2" to 3/4".
I have this problem printing from Picasa, from ACDSee, and from the
Easy-Print pgm that came with the i9900.
I am worried that I failed to set something correctly, but have gone over
the entire set up process and can find nowhere that I've missed a step.
The printer is also VERY LOUD when first pulling the paper into itself,
leading me to wonder if it's possible that I did not get some bit of packing
material out of the paper feed area, and that this is screwing up the
correct paper feed.
