Hi,
I just read a post where several such cards were recommended. But they
were the do-alls, except brew coffee. But I only need the BARE
minimum..I don't need to copy, record, MP3, etc, etc....or anything
like that. I simply want to use my PC as a TV and AM/FM radio. It's not
the extra expense, it's just that I'm not interested in doing anything
else, but watching TV and listening to radio. I don't need extras such
as mikes, or remotes, etc

Please can some recommend a good brand of a PCI card that would do the
trick?

ThanX Very Much!!

To view the tv as a monitor, most cards have that via s-link cable,to view tv
on
the pc,you'll need a video-in socket on the card.ATI makes such a pci
card,it runs
about 50.00,you can also get thier all in wonder card, which works for video
in
plus as a display adapter for computers monitor, plus has 128mb of
memory.Those
sell for about 150.00,wal-mart even carries them.As for FM/Radio,that
should be
obtainable thru youre existing ports on the computers sound
card,line-in,you'll need some 1/8 inch adapters to hook up from a tuner or
reciever,or listen to
the radio thru Windows Media Player.

I recommend the Hauppauge WinTV-Go-FM.

It's a dirt-cheap PCI card with an analogue TV tuner and FM radio.

Seems to meet your requirements exactly.
