Mute function error

I believe that first, I would try uninstalling the sound card, turn the
computer off and PHYSICALLY remove the card from its slot, then in a few secs
put it back and make sure all the pins are properly seated. Then I would boot
Windows up and reinstall the sound card and see where I stood then...
