Before I commit myself to nearly 200 pounds (370 us dollars) can anyone
recommend this water cooling system:

Zalman Reserator 1 Fanless Water Cooling System

Im buying it from this company http://www.chillblast.com/

It looks like the DOG's dangly bits! and I'm really impressed as it is
totally silent (has no fan at all)

Should i get this or is there a better system out there for the same price?

If you're just after silent, this looks like a good piece of kit. If
performance is more your thing, get a kit from
http://www.coolercases.co.uk/water_cooling_kits.htm - something along the
lines of the TDX or RBX kits.

It gets pretty good reviews, considering....

The issue is its a weedy little pump and very low flow rates, so you aren't
going to get brilliant cooling with the Reserator. Its probably comparable
to a good air-cooled copper heatsink (like the Thermalright SLK900) and
medium-speed fan. i.e. it won't break any records.

But -like you say - it is silent, and it does look cool.

Having said that you can fit your own pump with it ...

Cheaper alternative, buy water block (main component), get your own
big size water container, buy submersible fish tank pump, get water
horse, connect all components and it should work.
