Please give me some suggestions for a cpu cooling system for Barton 2500
processor (air). I would somehow prefer something not very heavy. I dont
have mounting holes in my motherboard (Gygabite 7vm400-AMF).

I've done some google searches but the results I've got a very confusing.

Thank you.

i know your pain
i am currently in search of a new HSF for my 2500, luckily i have mounting
holes. i suppose the questions are how heavy is too heavy, and how loud is
too loud, and how hot is too hot? personally i've been looking at the
thermaltake cool pipe 101 with a 90mm silent cat fan. it has retention clips
so it isn't an issue in that regard. i've also heard good things form
thermalright, but average things from coolermaster.

i quite like the look and performance of heat pipes in the sink, but you pay
for them.

happy hunting, and i'll be interested to hear the result

I'm cooling my B2500+ with Zalman CNPS700A-AlCu. And it's very good. The
fan can be set from 1500 to 2500 RPM. It's quietr too! Google for it and
see if it is heavy for you...

Coolermaster aero 7 lite. Adjustable speed and cooling my overclocked
barton 2500+ very well. Mounts on the usual socket and easy to install.
