Student discount?

I went to microsofts site and was looking at the os windows 7 but it seems that they only allow an upgrade and not the full os? I do not understand how the discount works can someone splain it to me thanks

If you want to see if a full version is available with a student discount, you can always contact the site to see if there's a full version that is applicable.
