Printer Compatible with Windows 8

Hello,
I get HP LaserJet 1020 and is not compatible with windows 8. A friend of mine tell me the Apple LaserWriter driver is the solution. Is this correct?

No... contact HP and ask if they have written an 8 driver yet... if not..new printer time..

A lot of printers aren't compatible with Windows 8 because the OS uses a different printing coding architecture, and many of the printer companies stated that they won't support most of their products.

I have a paperweight printer that is XP/Vista only, not compatible with Windows 7, and a printer that was designed for 98/ME/2000/XP that works perfectly fine with 7.
