Dear HP Customer,
Thank you for contacting HP eServices.
Please note that you have reached HP eServices, North America. This is with
reference to your e-mail regarding side grips.
We request that you contact our HP support at the United Kingdom at 0870 842
2339 in order to get replacement rubber grips and our representative would
be glad to assist in this regard.
For additional contact information, kindly visit the web link given below:
Before you replace the rubber grips, you need to remove the defective rubber
grips. Please follow the steps mentioned below to remove the rubber grips.
1.Hold the iPAQ pocket PC on its side with the side grip facing up and the
Secure Digital (SD)/Compact Flash (CF) card slots pointing away from you.
Note: Ensure that the side grip is free from any oils or slippery substances
that may prevent proper grasp during this removal procedure.
2.With your right thumbnail, press firmly and hold the lower (pointed) end
of the side grip. (This will help release the locking tab underneath the
side grip.)
Caution: Ensure that no pressure is exerted on the display panel. Exerting
pressure on the display may result in damage to the display.
3.Place your left thumb on the middle of the side grip (helps to disengage
the four contact tabs underneath the side grip more effectively) and slide
the side grip up about 1/8th inch.
4.Lift off the side grip.
You can also view the video to remove/replace the h2200 Side Grip, please

We hope the above information addresses your concern to your satisfaction.
Thank you,
HP eServices

Yes, just call HP and they will organise to send you a replacement pack. I
have done this twice.
You usually need to quote your serial number and most likley you will speak
with someone in India.

query. they said they'll contact me the next day, but nothing. i'll try
ringing them on the number listed on jren link (i just changed uk to au and it
worked )
thanks guys, will let you know how it goes.
i like how hp have a video on how to remove the grip. if the problem is THIS
common it begs the question why they don't/didn't change them for something
more durable but at the moment i just can't justify the cost for metal
grips
