Hi I'm Giuliano (from Italy)
How I can take the frequency from 2000 to 2500 or 3000Mhz.
Becouse my CPU Athlon XP 2400+
A7V8X-X Bios ver.12
512 Mb Ram

Thanks.

To get 2500MHz you need to increase the bus speed (FSB) in the BIOS to
166MHz. However to run stable at this speed you first need a very good CPU
(down to luck) and then you will need to increase the voltage to maybe 1.8 -
1.9V or more, which in turn requires very good cooling if you don't want to
overheat the CPU. You also need memory that's good for 166MHz (PC2700 /
DDR333)

To get 3000MHz you need a miracle, or possibly liquid nitrogen cooling may
get you close.

Isn't the default speed 1.8 GHz ?
3 GHz would be a 67% overclock !
To get a 2400+ from 1.8 to 2.6 GHz (a 44% o/c) would be pretty good (on air)
and 2.8 GHz (55% o/c) pretty good on water.
3 GHz is in the realm of refrigerated cooling, so I think you need to
moderate your expectations some.
If your processor is a mobile Athlon, you might have a chance of 2.7 GHz on
air - with a funky cooling set-up ... at the outside.
On the stock HSF and case, expect a max of 2.3 GHz.

Wanting speeds like that, you would probably spend less money/time/headache
by just buying an XP 2800+ cpu.

An XP2800 is still not gonna get you anywhere near 3000MHz, in fact for
extrame clock speed overclocking the 2400+ may be better because it has a
higher multiplier. Simple fact is the Athlon XP architecture is just not
good for those kinda clock speeds without radical sub zero cooling and crazy
voltages, even then you would be lucky to do it.

No default speed is not 1.8 - my athlon 2400+ runs at 2000MHz - 15x133.
