Do they make a PocketPC that connects via a wireless provider and then
connect to our corporate office?

We have Exchange 2003 with a ISA2003 firewall connected to a T1.

Also, can I assume correctly if I have a laptop with VPN access to our
Exxchange 2003 with Outlook 2003, I can synch to the laptop from the
PocketPC with ActiveSync?

If the IT department has server sync installed you could just sync directly
with exchange, you will need to find out from your IT dept. You could also
sync with your laptop once vpn'd into your corporate lan.

Do ur company provide OWA to ur users? If so, u should be able to sync with
the server through the OWA server without using VPN. There are a few
settings on the Exh organization that needs to be enable before this will
work though.

I think the official term is RDP over HTTP, meaning your PPC canlride in
over port 80 and sync with the server.

Nope...firstly, what u r refering to is RPC over HTTP. It's a way for
Outlook 2003 to operation in full exchange mode over an unstable connection
using the HTTP protocol instead of the normal RPC as RPC assumes a stable
connection and don't work well in an unstable environment. That is for
Outlook 2003.

What I was talking about is the new feature built into Exchange 2003
previously sold as a separate product.

What it does is to use the OWA services to perform ActiveSync with the
Exchange server but only for the Inbox, Calendar and Contacts. Nothing else
is needed as long as the PDA can reach the OWA server. (except, of course,
ur admin needs to enable the feature.)

Yup. Been messing with a terminal server and have RDP on the brain. :-)
