Hi All, I have a hard drive that was used in my mac laptop, it contains all my data and everything. Well my mac fried, but I still have the hard drive, and I know the data is there (I connected via USB to another laptop running linux (ubuntu)). However when I try to open my user folder while in linux. and enter the documents folder, I get an error saying I dont have permission to view.
Is there a way for me to get to that data and be able to copy to a new location? I will provide any additional info as needed.

Assuming you are using Ubuntu, try googling this term:

take permission folder ubuntu

There are several options available to establish the needed permissions to access your files.
