FltsimX does not work under Windows7.64

have installed FSX on a new desktop with as os windows 7 64 bits; first the color schem was adjusted continuously and now it is reporting a fatal error which can not be rectified, not even by the repair element on the DVD; anybody have suggestions to overcome this problem

Looks like the base version will not work, yet the expansion is OK. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Microsoft%20Flight%20Simulator%20X%3a%20Acceleration&v=Microsoft&uid=10&l=en&pf=0&pi=1&s=Fight%20Simulator&os=64-bit

Get the expantion see if it will run the program after that.

You can also try to run it in Compatability mode.

If you click on the link I posted, it clearly states that the Deluxe version is not compatable with 64bit Win 7.

But the expansion pack is listed as supported. So if you want to try it, buy the expansion that's in the second link, and see if that will run OK after you install it.

I have FSX; it works just fine on 64-bit Windows 7. Make sure that you have patched it to the latest level (Google "FSX patch"). Also make sure that you are using the latest drivers for your graphics card. But I assure you that thousands of people run FSX quite happily with that OS.
