I think most had determined ignoring you would be the more grave insult-- as replying gives credence to the original poster. Or maybe you just weren't interesting enough. Who knows? Only time will tell. Better to be thick skinned rather than thick headed at the very least.

A .22LR is a supersonic cartridge. A jacketed bullet will most likely make a through and through so the energy of the bullet isn't totally expended in the target.
A .45 pistol is subsonic. If a frangible bullet is used. All the energy of the bullet is expended when it hits the target. Plus the bullet disintigrates inside the target. When all the energy of the bullet is expended in the target and the bullet fragments too it's purpose is for one thing. Killing the target.

The heavier the bullet is and the slower it travels the more deadly it is.

Rim fire the primer is in the rim of the shell and the shell can't be reused.
Centre fire the primer is separate of the shell and the shell can be reused.

That's about as much as I know about small arms ammunition.

Well Ammo info aside I'm glad to see the rest of this bunch has a moderate amount of personality far beyond that of the "stfu" dude....

Whilst I may be new to your lil' universe I am far from a NooB when it comes to flaming posts...Anyone remember Gene Hackman in "The Quick & The Dead"? On The whole so far I seem to find PhukFace rather entertaining & aknowledge my early & poor use of the Nazi Germany reference though sadly it is a great recon. tool (But ya' gotta' admit it was phrased uniquely) unfortunately it didn't rouse any nazi bastards from the hedge rows....And I had just cleaned the nozzle on my flame thrower *Sigh*

I did just bought an Elite Z Hawk (166 gm). They're not made anymore. I was hoping the Z plastic would make it less "flippy". The verdict is: only slightly more stable. I think the main characteristic Z plastic affects is glide.

Doesn't matter: I also bought an MRV in Z as well, in case the Hawk wasn't stable enough for me.

Love the MRV. Better than a Shark, for me at least.
