Delete repeated appointments, contact, and tasks

The other day I took my Jornada 540 series on a trip, I
put my jornada on a friends cradle (he also has a 540
series) and it automatically synchronized, when i went
back to my computer when i got home and tried to sync it
was making everything twice, for example if i had an
appointment on thursday at 8 pm named dinner, after this
there were 2 appointments exactly the same at the same our
w/ the same name, it was doubled. Any one knows how to fix
this. Is there anyway or any software that deletes the
doubled items??
