Best to get identical sticks to avoid incompatibilities and is case you ever
wanted to run it in a dual-channel board.

On the other hand, unmatched sticks would probably work ok in single
channel, with luck. It depends on the motherboard.

Yes it is an MSI dual channel board so --- 256 is going to make the HD work
hard ..
I will want the double bandwidth memory real soon so I'llwant to get the
identical stick
size , speed and mfg.

The MSI has listed 7 mfg's that the board is compat with ---
some in my memory are Buffalo, Crucial, Corsair, Kingston,, Mushkin, OCZ
Technology and Super Talent .

They might be listing specific items in their product lineups.

I have a dual channel mobo running in dual channel mode with two different
brands of RAM, so it can work, aim for matching sticks, at least matching
speed.
