Hi,

Are all theses CPUs unlocked ?

If I bought one of them, can I be sure it will not be multiplier locked
?
Is there locked one series ?

Thanx

No, it will likely be locked. XP-M's are unlocked as are MP's, and older
Tbreds/Bartons made before 0338 date code (week 38 2003).

Bought one XP3000+ yesterday. AXDA3000DKV4D AQXCA 0410 VPAW (week 10
2004).
I found it to be unlocked. Have set 11x200mhz and boot it. BIOS
recognize it as XP2500+.
I think it's not shown as 3200+ cause of the SSPEC DKV4D and x11.
Should be DKV4E x11 for XP3200+.
CPUZ, crystalCPUID, and MBM5 report it as 2200 Mhz.
But I don't understand why CrystalCPUID did not allow me to change
multiplier (grayed F3). Is there any thing to do in order to play with
multiplier by soft.

Any idea ?

I'm wrong here. It shows correctly XP3200 when I set 200x11. I only saw
XP2500+ when I've set 11x166 FSB, which is correct, at first try with
166FSB in order to prevent it to (sure not) boot at 13x200=2600 in case
the multiplier change didn't work.

Just consider yourself lucky you got an unlocked model. I wonder if this
was just a fluke or if they've stopped locking some/all models or maybe
now they are unlocking only the lower multipliers. Did you try a higher
multiplier with a lower FSB?

Turn it into a mobile maybe.

Not at that time, but I will try.
The goal was to have it at a lower multiplier in order to raise the FSB
to 200Mhz like the XP3200.

I'm still disapointed by the 'oc potential of that chip.
It Boot at 2300@1,800v, but runs out of a prime95 in the first minute.
Prime95 runs at least 5 hours 2200Mhz@1,700v.

You're right.
Juste tried now. 133x14 gives me 133x6=800Mhz
Did not tried 15.

I have a question on the voltage.
I had some bench to run to make some graphs and will post a new thread.
