Just built a new 754 athlon64 system(2800) everything works great, but i was
wondering what the fsb was, i'm a little confused by the whole hyper
transport thing, lol. I know i could use CPUz but i wired up the floppy the
wrong way and i'm too tired to fix it, and the system's not connected to the
net. lol.

200MHz clock
HT x clock = HT speed
HT does nothing for performance on non-opteron systems, just keep HT
close to it's default speed and it should run fine.

Don't feel alone. A lot of people get confused by the new terminology.
basically the FSB is now called the system bus although it's still the
same as a FSB. Some may refer to it as the HT bus or HT link, which in
this case it is, but that's really refering more to the technology, which
could (and is) be used in other places and for things other than a FSB
This should answers all your questions on HT.
