AMD 64 3500 Vs Amd 4000 which is best ?

I know the 4000 comes with 1 meg of cache. But does that make it any
faster. If your overclock the 3500 to 4000 speed. Is the 4000 any
faster ?

Thanks. Would like the 4000 but the price is not what i like :)

Thanks again.

You could probably o/c the 4000+, but for the price difference
you could buy a 3500+ <Winchester> and overclock it as well, maybe
even farther than 4000+ if you by a decent m/b and memory, since
there's 512K less cache to generate heat.

I'd take the difference in money and put it towards a good graphics
card. Which is exactly what I did, an MSI 6600GT video card.

3500+ presently running at 2497MHz with 1Gig of Mushkin PC4000 running
in sync on an Abit AV8 3rd Eye. I've had it higher but then I have to
raise the cpu voltage to 1.5 and it gets a bit warm <58C> playing
games. I'm going to cut a whole in the side of the case to vent all
that hot air coming off the video card and cool off the case some.
