I just bought a Bluetooth dongle for my PC. I have an HP 4155. When looking
up ActiveSync, I saw an option to sync with a cable or infrared. Can't you
sync using Bluetooth?

Yes you can, and there are a lot of step-by-step instructions available:

Search engines are sooo difficult to use. ;-)

Yes, BT ActiveSync is seen as a serial connection. The only hard part with
a 4155 (or anything else actually) is finding out what virtual comm port is
assigned to the BT serial profile on your desktop. Check your dongle info
for that. That comm port needs to be set in ASs comm port window.

Then open BT manager on the 4155 and select 'new' and choose the ActiveSync
option. Follow the steps.
