i found all kind of solutions for 32bit / any ideas for same issue on 64bit?

I ve installed office 2007 on windows 7 64bit. ->

Every time I open an Office application, the "please wait while Windows
configures MS Office 2007" starts. Would expect this the first time after
installation, but not every time. ->

+plus+ Excel alerts me for stdole32.tlb each time.

Is the Office 2007 install source still available, either on the hard drive, or from the cd? Did you mark each office component to be fully installed (instead of install on first use) when you installed the entire suite?

If all else fails, you could just reinstall Office...

I had a similar issue and realized i installed office when logged in to regular account .( had to use administrator password)

When logged on as administrator office wants to install.

I now use the regular account with no problems

I installed Office 2007 on 64-bit Win7 RC from an administrative account and have no problems using it from a non-privileged account.
