overclocking ECS mainboard

i have AMD ahhlon xp 2400+ Thorton,ECS N2U400-a mainboard , 256 DDR infineon
400Mhz and 300W jnc.
How I can set my memori to work on 400Mhz.because when i set my memori to
work on 250 MHZ my monitor it wont turn on.what I nead to do????help please.

please.

DDR is double datarate
so 200mhz works to 400mhz, so 250mhz is a major overclock

I agree with Alan and besides ECS are known for making steady reliable
boards but they don't overclock very well.
cheap and cheerful.
