Eventually got my £10 Dell 720 printer on 4th attempt. Business Post in
their wisdom tried to deliver 4 days in a row at the same time! Neighbour
took it in for us on 4th attempt.
The printer is a Lexmark as stated elsewhere on this newsgroup and has
plenty of dll files all starting in Lex. Didn't want a fantastic printer
just something that would print documents and web pages and I'd owned a Lexy
before just refilling the cartridges.
Chuffed to bits with my latest newsgroup bargain. But is it a photo printer
or not. All of Dells packaging state it is but one addendum states it's in
fact a Dell Color Printer 720 and not a Dell Photo Printer 720?
Free 3 metre USB 2.0 cable supplied and 2 trial printer cartridges.
Everything fine but black cartridge won't print at all. Changed cartridges
over to confirm that printer is OK. Colour prints from blacks position but
black not from colours position.
So I now have a printer that only prints in colour but not black replacing
my Epson 660 that refused to print in colour anymore but was fine with the
black. Ironic or what.
What are Dell like on returns. I could get away with just having a new black
cartridge.
