i have a deskjet 4280 all in one printer and it will not print a test sheet or for that matter it just will not print anything!! i have done about everything i found on websites to correct this matter and have installed the hp diagnosis program for this and tryed everything it has told me and still it doesn't work

What drivers did you install? Plug and play or the whole shabang? I've found that manually installing the printer after you have installed the drivers works best. Use the Vista drivers to do this.
