Hallo everyone,
Someone gave me a Kyocera f-1010 for free, but the display says that I have
to change the drumkit. A new drumkit costs something like 161 EUR. Would you
recommend changing the drumkit and going on for some time with it or buying
another laser printer?

No, F-1010, that´s the point! It looks as old as Methusalem! It must be
really old.

I cannot get it to print normally. The test page does not print correctly -
it prints strange characters. I can get it to print normally only if I print
as image (for instance a pdf). I read that this is a favourite LINUX
printer. Does it print fundamentally ASCII text?
