Asus 620 BT ICS Internet connection works only for a while

Hello,

I have spent about two days trying to establish an ICS BT (widcomm 1.4.4.10)
connection to my Asus A620BT. My XP desktop uses a DSL connection which I
share from. The guide I used is

The PPC is set to DHCP client mode, so I just needed to go down to step 15.

Success was immediately there, I could browse using the PIE. But not for
long because when I decided to reboot my desktop with absolutely no changes
applied whatsoever (e.g. no firewalls starting etc.) , all the connections
could be started again just like before but the PIE now always tells me that
'the page cannot be found'.

So, in short, how can it be that both the desktop and the PPC treat each
other friendly ( BT netwotk connected and green) and the PIE doesn't want to
show and find the pages that had been found a short while before and with no
changes done apart from a reboot into the exact previous situation?

Actually, I' ve had this entire dilemma twice now and still have no clue as
to why things change for the worse when no changes were done.

Also, I have closely checked the ICS situation and the connection settings
in the PPC several times after the Internet had stopped. Everything just
like Peppe's guide suggests.

Most likely another complete rerun of Peppe's steps would restart the
internet on the PPC but only until one or both machines have to be switched
off. No chances from there then.

Sorry for the lengthy description, but any ideas (welome.exe in the PPC made
no difference)
