Hi,

I bought a water cooling kit last week. It was only an £80 cheapie so I
wasn't too surprised when the clip supplied with the northbridge copper
cooling block didn't fit (wasn't even close!) I have an Abit NF7 mobo and
need to somehow attach this water block to it. Any ideas? I've tried Artic
Silver but as I thought it didn't hold it on. It's just the northbridge chip
I need to attach it to (or whatever chip that is on my mobo with the small
fan on).

Dave, I just recently bought a new heatsink, Alpha 8492,
which is one of the best performers for a P4 with a socket
478. I had to look around the web for a performance
comparison (some call it a roundup), and I did not have the
time to read individual reviews. One that is helpful I
found was

Click on the links there. Good luck!

That would be the northbridge, although with nforce boards they have a
combined north/south, at least the 3 and 4 series do.

Thanks Tom,

Your link led me to get the name for the product I needed. It was 'thermal
adhesive' which is a two part epoxy compound. If anyone else is looking for
the same thing here's a link;
