Scanners?

i am looking to buy a scanner for my car and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on which ones are good and which ones are crappy?

auto x ray is the one that i have used , i go to o'rielys to use theirs . it will read obd 1 and 2 but i don't think it will let you monitor performance data . and that is were the big dollars are in scan tools . i seen some good deals on ebay for some scan tools .but nothign that i couldn't pass up that day
