I have a HP 2210 all in one printer that has worked perfectly for nearly two
years. Recently, however, when I get an incoming PHONECALL, the printer in
the middle of the call (after I've answered it) thinks it is an incoming fax
and starts sending a synchronizing beep--which makes it difficult to hear
the phone call! The fax button also begins to blink. I can stop this by
hitting cancel on the printer, but if I am on the phone in another room,
this is impractical. The fax autoanswer is set for six rings. I have not
consciously changed any settings, but this seems to be a fairly consistent
problem now for the past few days. Anyone have any suggestions on how to
stop it?
